Elanora Heights Public School hall mural panel 5.5 x 3.5 metres

I was asked to create a work showing unique parts of the school and it's natural surroundings above Narrabeen Lagoon, including the four bird species that the school teams are named after.
Thankfully, the Principal Leesa Martin, put her full trust in me to create something fitting her unique school,
which is surrounded by remnant bush, with many birds around.
I built up the design gradually around the central sun and horizon, using the idea of over-lapping circles to include 26 species of animal and bird, with the children.
Ms Martin subsequently asked me to paint the surrounding wall and finish it with circles containing the words of the school song.
